Final Meet Info Saturday, 6/24
Swim Families -
Below is all of the final info for our meet tomorrow, Saturday 6/24. We are still in need of quite a few volunteers. It takes nearly 30 workers per team to run summer swim meets (when we split jobs by 1st half/2nd half) which generally means we need help from every family, every meet. We truly appreciate your willingness to volunteer so we can continue to run great meets!
A few job descriptions:
Ribbon writer - Periodically check in at the scorer table and stick labels on the back of ribbons. You can absolutely still watch your swimmers and do not need to stay at the table continuously. Our league aims to provide the away team with ribbons immediately following the meet.
Official - Our league requires each competing team to supply two officials for every meet. Officiating for summer swim is low key and anyone with a general knowledge of the four strokes can be an official. There is a simple google form to complete (with videos that go over the rules of each stroke). Please note, even if you are an 8 and under parent we will happily take your help for just the first half! Officials get to watch the meet from the front row and our coaches are always willing to sub you out when needed. If we get enough officials we can move to 1st half/2nd half shifts. Arrive by 7:40 AM, Team Picture 7:50 AM, Warm Up 8, Worker Meeting 8:15, Races 8:30
*Team Picture - we will have swimmers sit on the bleachers by the pool to take a group picture at 7:50. I will send out a copy of the team picture.
