Swim Families -

Thanks for a great first meet! I know that I could not stop smiling seeing all of our swimmers compete from first-timers to high school swimmers perfecting their craft. The results from our first meet at Tipp are below. The small x next to a time simply means that swimmer couldn't score. In our summer league each team is limited to three scoring athletes per event and our scoring swimmer must swim in the first heat - we base first heat swimmers on previous times so the first meet was tricky that way. Times with an x still count in every other way and there was nothing illegal about the swim. If DQ is written in place of the time then the swimmer was disqualified (for that event only). I currently do not have the list of DQ reasons but as I get them I will have coaches work with each swimmer to help them fix the errors. Please let me know if you have additional questions!

Looking at the week ahead:

Monday - Practice 10 - 11 A (10U), 11 - 12 (11+)

Tuesday - Practice 5-6 (10U), 6-7 (11+)

Wednesday - Practice 10 - 11 A (10U), 11 - 12 (11+)

Thursday - Practice 5-6 (10U), 6-7 (11+)

Saturday is our first HOME meet! Registration for this meet closes Tuesday at 8 PM. For home meets you arrive at 8 AM, warm up at 8:15 A, and we finish by around noon. The worker meeting will be at 8:15 A as well. Please remember, our team requirement is for each family to work at least twice. We understand there are situations that make helping impossible but we ask that you try to find a way to help each time that you can. Thank you to everyone who volunteered at Tipp and to those who stepped in when we were short on workers. We truly cannot run the meets without you.
